Meet The Winemaker

It has been said that “there’s nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction” and we certainly believe Kirk is leading us in that direction.

Kirk Lambert was born in Wisconsin, but he grew up on the west coast.  Following his parents footsteps, he attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where he graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked several years for General Electric, but looking for a change he decided to move to Australia, where after working in the vineyard and at the winery he discovered his true passion for wine. He worked several vintages at Stanley Lambert Wines and finally decided to get his Master’s Degree of Oenology at the University of Adelaide, where he further developed his fascination towards wine.

Now, in charge of winemaking, he is putting into practice all his knowledge and experience to improve and create exciting new wines. More than a great manager, he is a friend and a leader to all the people that make up the Lambert Estate family. His greatest talent is his ability to make perfect combinations that result in the best blends, considerably improving the quality of our wines.

A multi-tasker at heart, you can find him in the cellar covered in wine, in the lab testing samples, in the office surrounded by paperwork and even in the cellar door happily sharing stories with customers.
